  • 2 – What Cookies Are and Which Ones We Use

Definitions, Characteristics, and Application of the Regulations

Cookies are small text files that websites visited by the user send and store on their computer or mobile device, to be retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit. Thanks to cookies, a website can remember the user’s actions and preferences (such as login data, chosen language, font sizes, and other display settings) so that these do not need to be re-entered when the user returns to the site or navigates from one page to another. Cookies are therefore used for performing authentication, session monitoring, and storing information regarding the activities of users accessing a website. They may also contain a unique identification code that allows tracking the user’s navigation within the site for statistical or advertising purposes.

The use of third-party cookies on this website is governed by the rules set by the third parties themselves; therefore, users are invited to review the privacy notices regarding the processing of personal data published on the web pages indicated in section

6 Purposes and List of Cookies Used.

Types of Cookies

This website is analyzed using a cookie scanning tool to maintain the most accurate list possible. The cookies that may be detected are classified into the following categories:

  1. Necessary Cookies: Necessary cookies help make a website usable by enabling basic functions such as page navigation and access to secure areas of the site. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.

  2. Preference Cookies: These cookies allow, if the user has given explicit and informed consent, a website to remember information that affects how the site behaves or appears, such as the preferred language or the user’s region.

  3. Statistics Cookies: Used to perform statistical analyses, such as analyses aimed at (i) evaluating the effectiveness of services provided through the Website, (ii) designing the Website, or (iii) measuring “traffic,” i.e., the number of visitors, possibly classified according to relevant characteristics (e.g., geographic area, time of day, etc.).

  4. Marketing, Social, and Profiling Cookies: Used to track users across websites, if the user has given explicit and informed consent. The purpose is to display relevant and engaging advertisements tailored to the individual user.

The processing of data for the purpose described in point 1 is necessary to fulfill a user request, and refusal may limit and/or prevent full use of the features and services available on the website. The legal basis for processing your data for the purposes in point 1 is the legitimate interest, pursuant to Article 6(1)(f) and Recital 47 of the GDPR. Processing is necessary to pursue the legitimate interest of the Data Controller or third parties, provided that the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the user requiring protection of personal data do not prevail, taking into account the reasonable expectations of the user based on their relationship with the Data Controller.

The provision of data for purposes 2, 3, and 4 is optional and based on the legal basis of consent, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Any refusal to provide consent does not compromise the functionality and services available on the website.

Upon first access to the Website, the user will see a pop-up banner containing a brief cookie notice, a link to this extended cookie policy, and a set of functions for managing preferences regarding the cookies to be installed on their device.

Specifically, through the banner functions, the user can:
(i) accept all cookies on the Website, including those for targeted advertising, giving their consent;
(ii) refuse the installation of all cookies on the Website except those strictly necessary for its proper functioning (i.e., “Necessary Cookies”);
(iii) access, via the link “Review your cookie choices,” more information about the specific cookies present on the Website, grouped by category, and where applicable, give or revoke consent or object to processing for categories of cookies to be enabled or disabled on their device;
(iv) close the cookie banner by clicking the corresponding icon and continue browsing the Website while keeping the default settings.

The Data Controller specifies that the “default” cookie settings imply the installation of Necessary Cookies only.

In accordance with the Guidelines, the Website includes specific functionalities that allow storing the user’s choices regarding consent to the use of cookies and tracking tools for a period of at least six (6) months. After this period from the last choice made by the user, these settings will be deleted, and upon the next access to the Website, the banner will be displayed again.

Settings to manage or disable cookies in web browsers may vary depending on the browser used. Therefore, for more information on how to perform these operations, users are advised to consult the manual of their browser or device.

  • Companies providing support for website management;

  • Platforms for cookie management and tracking;

  • Companies providing third-party cookie services.

Entities belonging to the above categories may operate, in some cases, as Data Processors specifically appointed by the Data Controller in accordance with Article 28 of the GDPR, or, in other cases, entirely independently as separate Data Controllers, it being understood that, in the latter case, the communication of your personal data to such independent Data Controllers is carried out solely for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

To obtain the complete list of these entities, you may write to privacy@gruppomoma.com.

Your data is not shared publicly.

  • 4 – Data Transfer

Your data may be transferred to countries outside the European Union, as specified in the details of the cookies provided by companies offering third-party cookie services (“see section 6 – Purposes and List of Cookies Used on the Website”).

  • 5 – Rights of the Data Subjects

You have the right to obtain from the Data Controller the erasure (right to be forgotten), restriction, updating, rectification, data portability, and objection to the processing of your personal data, as well as, in general, to exercise the rights provided under Articles 15 and following of the European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) by writing to privacy@gruppomoma.com

or contacting the Data Controller through the provided contact details.

You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data is contrary to applicable law.
